Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from Mimi, Paul & Charlie!
We hope that it has been a
wonderful year for you and the Holiday season will be joyous and filled with
happiness.
Mimi, Paul, Charlie, Pam, and
Larry (Pam’s dog) traveled to Santa Rosa for Christmas and celebrated the
Holidays with Paul and Tracy in their new home there. They moved in late
October 2021 after 9 months of extensive remodeling. The result is a beautiful
home and landscaping.
Christmas 2022 - Mimi, Paul A., Pam, Paul B., Larry, and Charlie
The year of 2022 was full of many changes for us. We sold in our Moon Valley home of 40 years, to downsize and establish a new lifestyle. After evaluating many living opportunities, we chose to move to the “Vi at Grayhawk” in Scottsdale, AZ. It has turned out to be a wonderful move with very friendly residents and many activities. The relocation process went as smoothly as one could expect of course, with more than a few stressful moments. We had excellent professional help and were able to use, sell, donate, or relocate belongings to our home in Flagstaff. Paul B. was happy to take ownership of our ’65 Mustang, keeping it in the family after owning it for 45 years. After settling in at the Vi, we found Mimi’s needs were more than Paul or the Vi was able to provide for. In early June Mimi moved to Torbrook Manor a beautiful group home with twelve residents, specializing in memory care. We are able to visit frequently, being just 8 miles away from the Vi.
Tracy, Oscar, and Charlie
This summer Paul and Charlie toured California to visit Pam in Long Beach and Paul and Tracy in Santa Rosa. Pam treated me to a concert at the Hollywood Bowl with the LA Philharmonic. What a beautiful venue, which is celebrating its 100 anniversary. After visiting Pam, we drove to Paul and Tracy’s in Santa Rosa, CA. Charlie met their new dog, Oscar, for the first time. They get along great together.
Arabian Lunch in Morocco
In September Pam and Paul took a
seven-day cruise from Lisbon to Barcelona, stopping in Portimao, Seville
(Cadiz) Casablanca, Gibraltar, Granada, and Alicante. It was a wonderful
experience with great weather, accommodations, and travel connections. We had a
great time, and it was so enjoyable to traveling together, we are planning a
trip to Italy next year.
Thanksgiving 2022 at Torbrook Manor
We are blessed with the success
of our children. Pam, Tracy, and Paul. They have very responsible, rewarding
careers and stay active at work, play and the community.
Pam visited for Thanksgiving
week. We went shopping, lunched, and spent time together during her visit.
Torbrook Manor had a Thanksgiving dinner for all the residents and their families
which was very complete and nice.
